Okay, so I threw together a mock-up design in 3ds Max, and it's very simple. But I'd like to get a few opinions on it, so I'll try to explain it here.

My idea is for a much easier to maintain kitty litter box.

Think of those hard plastic grocery baskets they have at supermarkets and what not (the handheld one). They stack into each other very nicely. This uses that same basic principal, but with a bit of tweaking.
You have 4 baskets (very lightweight, not bulky) that stack inside of each other. The grating on the bottom is designed so that 2 baskets stacked inside of each other create a solid bottom. The grates would need 2 different designs. Stacked A^B^A^B.

Then all you have to do is lift up one of the baskets and sift it about a lil, all of the loose litter will fall into the other 3 baskets. You dump the collected waste, and then place the other 3 inside of the 1st one. Repeat as necessary! Keep the whole set-up on a nice little rubber/plastic/whatever mat that can be easily cleaned from time to time.

Good idea? Bad idea?
Gimme yer thoughts.

Dear John,
I hope you can help me. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV. I hadn't driven more than a mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help.
When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbour's daughter. I am 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbour's daughter is 19. We have been married for ten years.
When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. He was made redundant six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless.
I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant.. He won't go to counselling and I'm afraid I can't get through to him anymore.
Can you please help?
Sincerely, Sally
_________________________________

Dear Sally,
A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the injectors.
I hope this helps,

John

Single-digit temp and it's a no-go. Below 20 and it would start after a while. But once it warms back up it's fine again.
Previous owners said they could never figure out why it was like that. New battery, spark plugs, blah blah blah.

Well this year, once it hit single-digit temps, it wouldn't start. Then still wouldn't work even after it warmed up.

After days of hours of digging around in the engine, and reading about all sorts of solutions on the internet, I decided it was the ignition switch.
Swapped that out (as well as the cylinder key doohicky) and it fired right up. Yay! So no more late days because my car wouldn't start.

Is it ever wrong to do the right thing?

My answer is "no".
Some of these are worth watching.
How to tell which ones? Well, only one way to find out...

Chickens: Moral guardians of the animal world. Who knew?
<lj-embed id="149" />

Even Batman and The Joker agree when it comes to personal safety.
<lj-embed id="150" />

Minesweeper: The Movie. Need I say more? The answer, of course, is 'no'.
<lj-embed id="151" />

MS-Paint. Revolutionizing obsoleteness everywhere.
<lj-embed id="152" />

Ben, I got a new kickball player for my team.
Got another e-mail from the "Russian girl". I'm gonna keep it going and see how far these scammers will go. Since they haven't asked for money yet, I'm guessing we got plenty of correspondence to do.

Here is the last e-mail, followed by my reply;

---------------------------------------

Hello my new Friend! wow! I in delight!!!! thank's for your reply so much!!!
can I call you - MY TIGER? :cat: or is better by NAME?
...about age! have you heard a saying The older the violin the sweeter the music?!
I hope soon I will be able to come to your area and we will meet each other!
this time I will write you more about myself. I think you should know
more about my life and my hobbies so you will know if we have any
common interests. I'm 25 years old, not too young I
think? My birthday is 16 October. I'm 167,5 cm tall (5.6) and 55,5 kg weight..
I don't know exactly my bust-waist-hips measurements, I
don't have a reason to measure it because I think it's OK and my body
is proportionate ))
I take care of my body, I do aerobics three times
a week and I go to the swimming pool twice a week.
I have no sister or brother. I live with the father and mother.
We all live in two-rooms flat.
As I wrote you I live in Russia. The name of my city is Beloyarsk,
it's near Barnaul city. Beloyarsk is very small and Barnaul is a
large city, the main city in our district.
I graduated from Barnaul Humanitarian University two years ago.
As I wrote you I`m a menager of the big shop, my city is small but we have a
big shop here. Sometimes I attend courses in
Barnaul so I have several diplomas (look
pic), but you know in russia we don`t have good work opportunities. But this work help me to take
care about myself. When I come to your city I think it won`t be a problem to find work on
my specialization (I shall work as the simple seller).
my father is 58 years old now, my mom is 46. You see my mom
is much younger then my father and they are very happy together. My
mother is a teacher of music in the school. I also could play a piano a
little. I like classic music, jazz, rock, lounge. I like all kinds of music!
A little about my father: he is in a good shape because we usually make
exercises together, he doesn`t work now, because he is retired already.
I love both my parents and I'm happy my parents will be not alone when
I leave them and will go to another country. Of course I will miss
everybody but I want to have my own happiness!

do you have an International Airport in your city? please write me it's name an code.
or write me the name of the nearest INTERNATIONAL Airport to you.

I write you my emails from Internet cafe, I don't have my own computer.
If you want I can call you when I will be in Moscow, it would be nice
to talk to you. We don't have international calls here. I suppose in few
days I will fly to Moscow and start my trip! Today I will tell my parents
about you, I'm sure they will be happy that someone is waiting for me over there!
There is no any messenger in this Cafe so we can only keep emailing
each other. I hope you are not getting bored to read my emails?
My address here is Russia, Beloyarsk, Mira street 9, flat 16, post code(zip) - 658041.
So now you have a representation of who I am....
I just can tell you that I enjoy life and I try to live to the
fullest, I like to try new things. I'm not that smart.. I was not that
good in mathematics, physics, biology and so on! I don't like to be
smart! But I'm very tender, caring, artistic, faithful, decent person.
Sometimes I can be not well organized, I think everybody had it's own
minuses and pluses. I don't look any special qualities in a man. I just hope he will be
faithful to me and ready to create a happy family with me and I will
do everything to make him happy. I'm looking for a soulmate!

ok... it's time to finish my email. I'm sending a kiss by the wind to
you and if I sent it to the right destination you should receive it by
evening )))) I hope you will catch my kiss somehow )))
do you like my photos?

bye!

Dariya ...pussycat :-)

-----------------------------------

Hi again, my little pussycat

Detroit International Airport is not too far from me. The code for this airport is DTW.
I have a friend that grew up in that area! She worked at a place called Tal'menka, which I think is a cafe. Have you heard of it?

I'm sorry I can't send you photographs of me right now. All pictures of me that I have are painted by talented artists. We should have a painting made of us once you get here too!

I don't know your plans for once you get here, but I can arrange to set you up in my guest house while you are getting settled in. You may stay there for as long as you like, free of charge of course. I recently came into a great deal of money (a few wise investments) and am still figuring out what to do with it.

I hope all of your travel arrangements go well.

Much love,
Christopher

---------------------------------------------------------------

Ben and I are having lots of fun with this.
